The reinforced concrete frame structure had the advantages of low cost,flexible layout. It is advantageous for standardized construction. It is importantstructure of building. Reinforced concrete structures will maintain good developmentprospect in the future. Therefore, we need to seek a scientific and reasonable designmethod. It has a great significance for the safety and economic benefits of buildingstructures. Structure optimization design can improve the design efficiency and designquality. Structure optimization design can reduce engineering cost and cost savings.In this article, the research object is a multi-storey reinforced concrete framestructure in Handan. The index of engineering structural optimization design is thereliability index of the structure and specification requirements. Then use the designsoftware PKPM (2010edition) for structural internal force calculation and analysis.The engineering practical design results as the foundation. According to the theory ofreliability design for establish the optimization model of the main components ofstructure. Then use of MATLAB software as the optimization tools of the model. Theoptimized will get data of the structure. Put these data as the initial data in the processof conventional design. Do the second model input and calculation analysis forstructure. So as to achieve the goal of structure optimization design. Through theoptimization design process, the engineering cost is reduced and the economic benefitis obtained.
