In the vehicle development process, proving ground endurance test was used toassess the quality of the cars. The problem that existed in the ‘Mule Car’ can only befound through durability test. When the problem solved, then the new round ofendurance test will be started. This is the traditional way to the development process,the development cost increased and waste time in the repeating test. Base on thecharacteristic of the traditional way, this paper use the CAE fatigue analysis methodof product in the early design stage, which could shorten the development cyclethrough solve the potential problem in the design stage.First, the target vehicle dynamic module was modeling through the software ofMOTION module of LMS. The stiffness parameter of rubber bush was acquiredthrough the test, which could confirm the accuracy of the dynamic model.Second, based on the research of the road load data(RLD),the virtual iteration ofLMS TWR was used to calculate the RLD on the virtual test rig. In this way,thevehicle running status could display on the virtual test rig. Through this way, theboundary load spectrum of knuckle could be extracted in each road condition.Last, the accuracy of knuckle Finite Element Model was verified through the testand the theory of the fatigue was used to the fatigue analysis process about the partsof vehicle. The cumulative damage of knuckle was calculated according to the Minertheory.
