Traditional aero-engine assembly basically rely on artificial assembly and testing,semi-automated testing tools, combined with rigid tooling, assembly accuracy to a greatextent is influenced by artificial factors and constraints, assembly quality is not guaranteed.This paper design a configuration of flexible assembly tooling which is used for areo-engineof different types and different models, and this design is based on the aero-engine assemblytechnical process, assembly tooling design process, common characters of discoid rotors.apply the serial-parrallel manipulator to configuration, combining the robot theory. Introducethe basic principle and key design technology, and use the finite element method to proof itsfeasibility in terms of static.In this paper the workspace of aero-engine flexible assembly tooling is calculated, and amathematic model is set up by Monte Carlo method to optimize the design parameters forbigger workspace; then the global condition number has been solved for construction ofdifferent sizes, the result is used for the optimization of machine kinematic. At last theConservative Congruence transformation (CCT) stiffness matrix is derived, and stiffnessmapping in the direction of X, Y, Z is simulated. These results are applied for the analysis anddiscuss of stiffness. This work has outstanding theoretical significance for assembly accuracyimprovement, assembly performance optimizing, pose and position reasonable selectionduring the assembly and dimensional synthesis.At last, a model is analyzed and built in ADAMS to simulate the kinematiccharacteristics. Then use the result to contrast with theoretical calculations. These verify thecorrectness and practicality of the model.This work has outstanding theoretical significance and practical significance for thedevelopment of aero-engine numeral assembly, the improvement of manufacture efficiencyand assembly accuracy, optimizing assembly performance, dimensional synthesis.
