There exist huge geothermal resources inside Earth. In the current technicalconditions,the shallow geothermal energy resource is one of the most value energyresource of the Earth’s interior for development and utilization. The distribution area ofhot summer and cold winter zone is relatively large in China. In recent years, thedevelopment and utilization of shallow geothermal energy has become a trend. Atpresent, the methods of development and utilization of shallow geothermal energyresources are the groundwater source heat pump and ground source heat pump. Althoughthe development of ground source heat pump technology is relatively fast in China, thesuitability evaluation for ground source heat pump has not formed a systematicevaluation system.The main purpose of this paper is evaluation the suitability of ground source heatpump system in hot summer and cold winter zone. The primary task is to choose aneffective evaluation method. And then, the scientific and effective evaluation indexesshould be chosen, based on full account of the many conditions around the cityhydrogeological conditions, groundwater conditions, soil thermal properties, and geology,etc. Finally, the table of regional suitability of ground source heat pump system in hotsummer and cold winter zone are formed.After extensive study of this topic, obtained the following conclusions:(1) Groundwater source heat pump system partition evaluation indexes of suitability:water source、amount of groundwater levels dropped、mount of groundwater recharge、unit water yield、groundwater temperature、mineralized degree; Ground source heat pumpsystem partition evaluation indexes of suitability:quaternary system thickness、pebbly layer thickness、constant temperature layer temperature、geotechnical temperature、consolidated thermal conductivity、the total thickness of aquifer.(2)In the basis of evaluation index, we use Analytic Hierarchy Process and expertconsultation questionnaire in this paper,calculated the relative weight value of eachevaluation index in the study area, each evaluation index conducted standarding datawith the different levels of the study area.(3)Drawn out the groundwater source heat pump suitability partition table andground source heat pump suitability partition table of parts cities in hot summer and coldwinter zone, initially identified shallow geothermal energy reserves is more abundant.inhot summer and cold winter zone.
