A large number of inductive devices exist in the running grid of factory. With theincreasing demand of electricity, more and more reactive power is needed byinductive devices. If the consumed reactive power is not compensated timely, it willseriously affect the operation efficiency of the grid. So the key for energy-saving andquality-improving is to adopt reasonable reactive power compensation. While theexisting reactive power compensation system prevails switching oscillation, unreasonable switching mode and other issues. The design of reactive powercompensation control system is needed continuous research. To solve the above problem, fuzzy PID parameters self-tuning as a controlstrategy, the reactive power compensation controller based on ARM is designed, which combined traditional PID control with fuzzy control, through fuzzy inference toachieve the purpose of self-tuning PID parameters. Simulation results show that thestrategy can reduce switching oscillation, reaching the desired results. On the hardware design, the S3C2440which is a16/32-bit RISC microprocessoris used as the control unit of the system. Using five lines and Harvard architecture, notonly increases processing speed, but also simplifies the hardware complexity. Thesystem uses sensors to collect voltage and current signals, composite switch controlscapacitor cycle switching, three-phase common compensation and sub-compensation,LCD real-time display and friendly interface. On the software design, a multi-task, portable, scalable operating systemμC/OS-II is used. The μC/OS-II operating system is transplanted to the hardwareplatform successfully. Data collection, data storage, LCD display are the main designobjects. The purpose of reactive power compensation can be achieved. The reactive power compensation control system achieves the expected targets.A prospect of application is expected in the future.
