Earthquake damage for a national and the local people’s is difficult to use money tomeasure, China is a country with a very serious earthquake hazard, having a history ofearthquake and has brought great loss to the people of our country. China’s earthquake hascharacteristics of wide distribution, dispersion, the epicenter, there is not very effectivemethods for earthquake prediction in the world.By far,the most effective method is towork on earthquake disaster prevention, in order to reduce the loss. In order to reach thisgoal, the various countries also made a different study, took a different approach andmeasures.China’s seismic research has its historical origin and the development of late.For along time,we keep a low level of fortification of seismic code. And the specification’sdevelopment is a process of fusion and reference research.Along with the reform andopening up China more and more cooperate with the outside world, especially after China’saccession to the WTO.The difference of Chinese and foreign building seismic design codeand the actual effects of structural seismic design is concerned, studying these differencesand influence are necessary.The problem of discovery and excavation research conclusionhas very practical engineering significance. At the same time,through studying the Chinaand Europe seismic code, to improve and advance our seismic code, to ensure the safety ofpeople’s property and life, building a harmonious society, is important for engineering,structure theory and social significance.At the same time, through some comparative analysis of structure seismic code to theEC8in China, to provide some material for researchers in engineering seismic design.In this passage, I use the method of literature research and the study of examples, toclarify the terms and conditions and then compare the two different specifications, inseismic design of building structures, the seismic fortification level of specificationdevelopment evolution and fortification goal, the design method of site classificationcompared using the method of literature research, listed in the form of tables and charts, injudging sand silt liquefaction and seismic effect on the static calculation method of contraststudy mainly in the form of a numerical example compared, more image more convincing.This passage mainly studied the following aspects of content: (1) Seismic fortification levels and fortification objectives, seismic design method ofcalculation and the regularity of the structure. Through studying we found that the structureof the economic loss as a measure of standard of fortification requirements in European, isworthy of reference for seismic code in China. In "requirements of limit damage" level,EC8fortification level is higher than the GB50011-2010specification small earthquakefortification level. The aspect of design method of calculating, GB50011-2010under smallearthquakes level structure design, think as under small earthquakes in a fully elasticstructure, can be directly using the elastic response spectrum and linear method to calculatethe seismic effect. EC8specification is in the earthquake resistance level corresponding toour country in seismic structural design, intensity of earthquake effect, the structure of theinternal force analysis and section design are assumed structure in a plastic state, andcoordinated.
