Non-oriented silicon steel is a kind of indispensable functional material to various of electronic machines. With the development of power industry and the continuous improvement of living standard, the demand of non-oriented silicon steel is increasing.To meet the strong demand of market for non-oriented silicon steel, there have been4Silicon steel continuous lines(SACL) put into production since Year2000to2008. However, due to various factors, the improvement of out-put rate of non-oriented silicon steel production face a series of bottlenecks, the monthly Statistics value declines to95.60%, while the market situation is not optimistic, and the out-put rate of non-oriented silicon steel should be improved quickly which is one of the most effective measures to make profit. Therefore, silicon steel department to the0.35mm,0.50mm,0.65mm have no the mindset silicon steel product in don’t need to be pass by to often turn a type of machine set(APL, AL machine set) carry on often turning to back fire processing of medium low card number silicon steel product(note:Don’t include to under way don’t need to often turn to produce efficiently a product currently), put forward an exaltation it to become useful the target of rate, request attain95.86%.This paper describes the methodology of science and technology as a guide to project management theory six sigma theory as a theoretical background, from the problems of improvement of the output-rate of non-silicon steel in this dimension of six sigma theory and tools on how to use in it and how to resolve the problem.The concrete implementation of the improvement of out-put rate of non-silicon steel was researched in this paper. First of all, Project proposal and implementation plan was draw up on the basis of clearing the project requirements and objectives, and with the usage of Lean Six Sigma DMAIC management tools.
