With the growing shortage of oil resources With the advent of the global energycrisis, people pay more and more attention to environmental problems. As a source ofenvironmental pollution in the automotive industry, vigorously developing innovativeenvironmental protection is the trend of the times. Development of electric vehicleshas become a hotspot in research and development of the car. The electric vehicledriven by the wheel motor is free of the limitations of traditional fuel vehiclestructure layout and have advantages of high can effect comparing, simplified bodystructure, and the variety and so on, which become a focus in the study of electric cars.In Electric vehicle technology, modern electric vehicle control technology is a keytechnology to improve practical electric cars. in this paper, under the current hot, withhub motor driven electric vehicle control technology as the research object, the brakeenergy recovery strategy, the vehicle control strategy were carried out and controlsystem software and hardware research work were developed.First of all, this article discusses the current electric vehicle technologydevelopment present situation at home and abroad, the current brake energy recoverystrategy and drive system’s key parts that is motor of electric vehicle driven by wheelhub motor and its control technology are studied. Regarding brushless dc motor as theresearch object, the motor brake energy recovery strategy is studied, motor controlprinciple and control method are analyzed. Based on these, the brake energy recoverystrategy put forward and the electronic differential control strategy based on steeringAngle control are put forward, presents four wheel hub motor driven electric vehicleelectronic differential system and brake energy recovery control scheme are given.Secondly, on the system hardware design, according to four-wheel drive electricvehicle control system based on the proposed overall scheme, the vehicle controllerbased on DSP chip and chip IR2110wheel motor drive controller based on logicalprocessing are designed and manufactured.Then, aiming at the wheel motor drive type electric car electronic differentialsystem control scheme and brake energy recovery strategy and control algorithm, thevehicle controller driver is compiled, the vehicle controller AD sampling, differentialoperation, the braking force distribution, the driving wheel speed, wheel hub motorspeed/current double closed-loop PID control, PWM pulse signal bandwidth speedand hall electronic in equal function are realized. Finally, the experiment is carried out by using project team designed the skeletonof a prototype. The experimental results show that the developed controller can realizethe normal use of skeleton prototype function, but also verify the feasibility of controlstrategy proposed in this paper.
