With China’s rapid economic development, energy crisis is becoming more and more severe and irrational energy structure in China is becoming more and more prominent. How to enlarge the scope of application of gas and improve combustion efficiency of gas burner is an important issue.In this paper, through the combination of regenerative combustion, staged combustion and high-speed combustion, a new type burner, regenerative staged combustion of high-speed burner, is designed to improve combustion mode of conventional regenerative burner. Changing the proportion of secondary air burner, burner block necking angle and the excess air ratio, numerical simulation was performed with Fluent In consideration of the blank of domestic burner performance evaluation, this paper established the evaluation criteria of burner features, wrote the burner features evaluation software of and used the evaluation software to make a comparison of designed burner with conventional regenerative burner.The conclusion:First, designed burner power is167KW. The core improvement is that making the burner block has a certain necking so that gas can emit with a high-speed. Second, the numerical simulation results compared the temperature field, velocity field, pressure field, concentration field and pollutant generation in three conditions and then got optimum operating parameters of burner. Optimum operating parameters:Primary and secondary combustion air ratios are50%, burner block necking angle is10~12°, the excess air ratio is1.0~1.05. Third, establishing evaluation standard which is on the basis of temperature field uniformity, backflow area size, pollutant formation and emission. Next, coupling these three dimensionless standard. Then modularizing computing, input and output and writing calculation software with Visual Basic. Fourth, using evaluation software to assess new designed regenerative staged combustion of high-speed burner and conventional regenerative staged combustion of high-speed burner. Comprehensive evaluation of new type burner is0.2045, which is superior to that of conventional burner,0.2250.
