Centrifugal air compressor is one of the core equipments and plays an important role in the process of thermalelectrical plant. The rotor of the TRE100three-stages centrifugal air compressor is operated under conditions of high pressure, velocity, and temperature. And its construction is very complex. The titanium turbine of the third stage of the TRE100three-stages centrifugal air compressor have been ablated three times since running in2007.The preliminary analysis of the reason of turbine ablating has been done on the basis of the researches abroad and native researchers. It is concluded that the material cause is the collisionbing between turbine and stator, which includes radial collision and axial collision. But what cause collision is not clearly determined. Only from the operating process, preliminary failure and rotordynamics analysis, the reasons of ablating failure of turbine may be find. Then some of the structure parameters and operating parameters may be modified to eliminate the failure source and maintain the stability of running. The dynamic behavior of the third stage turbine of TRE100centrifugal air compressor is the researching core of this paper. The dynamic behavior of rotor supported with tilting pad journal bearings should be analyzed according to the rotordynamics and the theory of hydrodynamic lubrication. So the reason of rotor vibration can be summarized and explored in order to modify the structural and operating parameters. By the researches of this problem, it can offer to solve the similar problems and reference for rotor design.
