Aviation engine works as the heart of aircraft in bad environment of high temperature, high speed, strong vibration, big stress and variable load. Even so, the safety and reliability requirements of aircraft engine is still very high. Once engine fails, it will lead to a big devastation for aircraft. So it’s significant for aviation engine to monitor condition, it can not only predict performance of the engine, but also provide reliable basis for maintenance and repair plan, and reduce unnecessary economic losses and casualties. Due to complex structure of aircraft engine, it’s impractical to do the monotoring for all aspects. Intershaft bearing is the most important part in engine, and it’s also the weakest one. So we can learn about the state of aircraft engine according to intershaft bearing’s state. As a result, it reduces the cost, but increase the reliability. We build a test rig in order to simulate work state of intershaft bearing and the purpose of this paper is to develop condition monitoring system for this test rig based on CompactDAQ, and make preparation for subsequent research, and also meet the actual research demand.First, introduce working principle and basic structure of intershaft bearing, and select state parameters that will be used to monitor the state of intershaft bearing test rig, then build the overall framework of monitoring system.Second, introduce intershaft test, main test plan, and build up the overall scheme of the condition monitoring.Then, introduce hardware platform and software platform of intershaft bearing test rig condition monitoring system. The embedded data acquisition instruments this system equips are CompactDAQ, C series data acquisition modules and graphical programming software-Lab VIEW2013, and they are all from American National Instrument company.Finally, develop intershaft bearing test rig condition monitoring system combining with test rig, sensors, hardware and software. The optimization for this system makes it running more efficient and more practical.
