Display The City-the Study Of Display Space In City Planning Exhibition Hall

As a new type of exhibition halls, Planning exhibition halls have been rapidlyincreasing in the last decade. There are still some problems in the process of continuousimprovement. In this paper, we focus on the space of the urban planning exhibition halls,discuss the distribution, form, and scale, introduce the constitution, point out where theproblem lies, and analyze from different presentation, demand for traditional culture,orientation of visitors, and try to summarize the rational design and optimization tacticsand principles.From the angle of exhibition mode, urban planning exhibition halls are divided intothree types: historical time mode, display theme mode, narrative montage mode. Basedon the characteristics of spatial layout in case analysis, we point out the main factorsthat have an impact on the form of the exhibition space: the way of exhibition,traditional culture and visitor’s demand; and summarize the tactics and principles ofstrategic layout of the urban planning exhibition halls.We describe the definition of the spatial form, distinguish physical space andperception of space; find out problems about spatial shape in domestic urban planningexhibition halls; analyze the main factors that have an impact on shaping the spatialform: the way of exhibition, traditional culture,mentality and behavior of visitors;induce the characteristics of spatial shape needs; summarize the principles of strategicplanning and shaping urban planning exhibition halls.We describe the concept of scale, present some problems about improper applicationof the scale; based on case study, explan the necessity of appropriate use of thress scales:Neighboring, pleasant and superior. Based on three factors, presentation, traditionalculture and visitor’s demand, we find out the inner features of scale, and finally sumup the guidelines of application of the scale of the exhibition halls.
