| As the result of advanced development of civilization, space environment is not onlythe carrier of modern lifestyle, but also the crucial composition of civilization andculture. The design of space environment is the art of space, it is about using differentgeometric morphology and related elements to express the comprehension about spacedesign in a certain space. geometric morphology, as one of the most important elementsin design and a necessary element in space design, it has never been isolated fromdesign and life. In space environment, both plane composition and3D composition arerequired to be diverse and rich, their importance is as vital as the importance of color indesign. With the development of urbanization in China, due to the overemphasis oneconomic benefit, most designers seldom pay attention to the harmonious coexistenceof diversity and humanity in space environment design. As a consequence, there aremany existing problems in space environment design, such as monotonousness, inflexibility, disorderliness, as well as the lack of classification. These problems havealready become some issues which have to be urgently deal with. This thesis starts with providing some theoretical support by explaining some relatedtheories about geometric elements in space environment, then turns to the appliedresearch of traits in geometric space environment. On the one hand, the geometricalpresentation has been explored in the research. On the other hand, the most importantly, cultural traits and aesthetic value have been involved in the exploration about theapplication of this thesis. Based on the further research of relationship betweencultural traits and space environment, author of this thesis analyzed and summarized thepractical application of geometric composition and cultural traits research. Furthermore, author also used interdisciplinary research by combining cultural phenomenon, aestheticvalue as well as psychology in order to have a comprehensive analysis as well as seeksolutions for some existing problems. The aim of this thesis is to explore a practicalthinking of design which is suitable for the modern society, in other words, to explorean ecological designing idea which is mutualistic and humane. |
