Study On The Space Morphology Features Of Bailu Historical And Cultural Villages Based On Space Syntax

Historic villages can more fully reflect some traditional styles and local ethnic characteristics in historic periods,and are rich in protecting cultural relics.With the rapid urbanization and the heat of traditional village tourism,historic villages face problems such as fragmented patterns and excessive development.Because of that,traditional settlements are increasingly being eroded and urgently needed protection.In this paper,we uses space syntax theory to reveal Bailu Village's spatial features and self-organization rules in a quantitative way.Through this new analysis method,we set up a development idea that can extend and inherit the spatial texture and traditional culture of Bailu historical Village.On this basis,we propose a practical and adaptable strategy that can provide technical support for the protection and development of historic villages.In this paper,we select Bailu Village as the research object.Based on space syntax theory,we have conducted research on the relationship between spatial characteristics and human behavioral using field research methods,qualitative analysis methods,and quantitative analysis methods based on space syntactic.Through the analysis of survey data,we have a preliminary judgment of the existing problems in land use layout,street and land space,node space,and historical space.Using Google Maps and on-site survey data,we decide the space boundaries of streets and lanes,and build a spatial syntactic platform.And through it,we carry out syntactic analysis from the three ways: overall and local,street and land space,and node space.The results show,(1)The center of gravity of the space structure gradually migrates from the Bailu Village to the edge and eventually dissociates from the new village.(2)There is a big different in spatial form and spatial scale between new and old village,but the function and spatial integration are highly related.(3)The three nodes in the open area of Cross Street,Shichang Hall and Hongyutang Square,and the open area besides Zhijing Hall have the highest degree of space integration.Also,the Cross Street open area has the strongest attraction for villagers and tourists,but the open area next to the admiration is more likely to the villagers.To activate the internal space vitality of the Bailu Village and extend the historical context.In this paper,we proposes optimization strategies based on the principles of integration,adaptability,and catalytic effect,form three of structure center,street and lanespace,and node space.Using spatial syntactic analysis methods,we select the three core variables(integration,selectivity,and intelligence)to verify the optimization results.The results show that the values of the three variables have been increased to varying degrees.It reveals that space activity is rising,which makes the optimization strategy can provide basic suggestions for future tourism planning in the area.
