Green, low-carbon, circulation and sustainability has been the direction of economicdevelopment model in our country. On this background, the constraints of resources andenvironment, the sustainable economic and social development and the large number ofrural construction in the urbanization construction of our country are all providing thedevelopment opportunities for bamboo reinforced concrete.In order to develop green low carbon buildings, the bamboo reinforced concretestructures are applied to the towns and villages in small buildings. In this paper, bambooreinforced concrete beam as the research object is carried in the experimental researchon the flexural behavior.According to the previous research results, five bambooreinforced concrete beams were designed and produced. With reference to the bendingfailure test of reinforced concrete at the same time, the test phenomena and the flexuralbehavior indexes which included strain, deflection, bearing capacity and so on wererecorded and measured by the two static load test on the test beams.In the end, thebamboo reinforced concrete beams were simulated in a nonlinear way by usingANSYSto compare with the experimental results.Through the research and the analysis, a preliminary understanding was establishedon the flexural properties of bamboo reinforced concrete beam. The test results, whichshowed that the strain of the bamboo and the concrete was almost the same during theinitial loading,and the relationship between the load and the strain was linear, meant thatit was appropriate to use the theoretical calculation method in some aspects.It was alsofound that there were some relative slippages which led the cracks developing rapidlybetween the bamboo and the concrete in the process of the experiment. The resultsabove show that enhancing the bonding strength between bamboo and concrete is thekey to make the experiment successful and to improve the carrying capacity of bambooreinforced concrete beam,and finding availability methods is worthy of deep-goingstudy.
