With ECUs widely used in automobile, the traditional point-to-point wiring harnessconnection can lead to complex scale, increasing cost and sharply reducing reliability. Ithas become an inevitable trend to adopt digital automotive network. OSEK/VDXnetwork management (NM) system can detect on-line or off-line status of nodes, complete synergistic sleep or awakening of nodes and realize fault detection andrecovery. Reliability and safety of automotive network communication are guaranteedby OSEK NM effectively.Based on the national natural science foundation, OSEK NM system in automotiveCAN network is designed and the values of timers in it are optimized to improve theperformance of NM in this dissertation. Firstly, the minimum hardware system of aCAN node is set up through introducing the resource of MC9S12XS128MCU and theinternal structure of MSCAN communication controller and TJA1050transceiver. Thesoftware architecture composed of core module and interface module is designed afteranalyzing strategy of direct NM. Core module is responsible for realizing NM algorithmthrough adopting “horizontal spelled” programming thought of finite state machine tocomplete program of complex NM states transition and using cyclic event queue tostore and inquire NM events by the NM task. Interface module occording to the eventmanagement, configuration management, communication management and outputmanagement these four aspects is responsible for NM configuration and its interactionwith outside. Then the function relation between values of NM timers and three indexesof NM performance is found by establishing the time model of NM timers. Theoptimization algorithm of the timer values is put forward on the basis. Finally,semi-physical simulation experimental system is set up in CANoe software to verify it.The experimental results show that the functions of network management can berealized by the NM system and the performance of NM is improved by the optimizedvalues of NM timers according the method in this thesis.Design and implementation of OSEK NM system in automotive CAN network areresearched in the dissertation to effectively ensure the reliability of automotive CANnetwork communication. It provides a feasible way to apply OSEK NM standardswidely in automotive network.
