In the21st century, our country has entered a stage of rapid development, at the same time, is also a period of rapid construction. The demand of steel and concrete is one of the biggest, in the process of the exploitation of iron ore, along with also producing a large number of iron ore, a kind of industrial waste, meanwhile, fine aggregate concrete, sand, coming up shortage signal. Over the past two decades, didn’t put the concept of environmental protection in the process of production, iron tail sand piled up at random, destroy the environment, occupation of land. After the eighteenth meeting, the construction of ecological civilization as a very important task in the country to do, put environmental protection into people’s life. And in order to save resources, make the waste into treasure, make use of the resources, to promote the sustainable development of our country will go smoothly and quickly, let the sound and rapid economic development of China. This paper studies the application of iron tail sand as fine aggregate to the road pavement. In the present, under the policy of national implementation of the "coverage", tail of iron ore concrete pavement will get a wide range of applications, this not only can solve the problem of iron tailings pollution of the environment, And can solve the problem of shortage of fine aggregate concrete, can also reduce the engineering cost, are of great social and economic value.Test concrete use iron tail mineral sand completely replacing sand with comparison. In order to satisfy the workability of the tail of iron ore cement concrete, need to add additive-naphthalene series high efficient water reducing agent. In compressive strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus of resilience, dry shrinkage resistance, abrasion resistance, frost resistance and other performance and mechanical performance comparison, and considering economic benefit.Measured in the experiment, the flexural strength of4.0MPa for C30concrete, Bending tensile elastic modulus of2600MPa is close to specification recommended value of2700MPa. Iron tail sand concrete compared with ordinary concrete, concrete shrinkage rate is close to, wear is generally low, frost resistance of slightly, and has better economic benefit.
