Research On Location And Evaluation Of City Natural Gas Vehicle Filling Station

With the improvement of people’s living standard and increasing car ownership, there are two serious problems, i.e., the energy crisis and environmental pollution. In order to solve the two problems, small new energy vehicle with low emission pollution has been developed and used in transportation rapidly with the government’s strong support. At this stage, buses, taxis and other public vehicles in most of cities are converted to natural gas vehicles. At the same time, in order to meet the demand for natural gas refueling vehicles, the number of natural gas filling stations should also be increased.Nowadays, the location of natural gas filling stations is usually casual, lacking of enough scientificity and economic efficiency. The development of major natural gas filling stations is in still in its infancy stage, which is not included in the unified government planning. This situation seriously affects the smooth running of the entire vehicle refueling network, resulting in long queuing time, traffic jams, low economic efficiency and low social identity. It’s an urgent problem for the city manager and investment property owners to guide the natural gas filling stations construction and layout optimization by scientific theory and method.Firstly, the background, significance and advantages of natural gas applications are analyzed, and the status of domestic natural gas filling stations selection and corresponding problems are described. Secondly, the prediction method about the number of refueling vehicle development and sales volume, the method of filling stations site selection are discussed. Then the number of filling stations in a given area based on supply and demand equilibrium theory is determined. Finally safety and finance evaluation are conducted. Combined with urban development orientation of Dalian city and transport development planning, principles and methods of the location of natural gas vehicle refueling stations in Dalian city are proposed by applying the system theory, and future development is also proposed. This paper can provide support for practical application.
