The Structure Characteristics State Models Research For Complex Gear Trains

An approach to develop the structure characteristics state models for the complex gear trains is presented in this paper.12kinds of mechanism diagrams of the complex gear trains basic units are deduced. Four models is established, including the structure characteristics state models of the complex gear trains basic units, the constraint models to connect the two component of each basic units, the structure characteristics state models which the basic units has been combined, the optimization model of the structure space which the complex gear trains occupy.First of all,12kinds of mechanism diagrams of the complex gear trains basic units are deduced by the method of distributing and assigning the frame to the basic kinematic chains, which consummates the basic unit library of complex gear trains. Based on the information contained by the structure characteristics, a set of variables which can describe the structure characteristics of the basic unit is extracted. Then the equations which can describe the complex gear trains unit’s structure characteristics are set up. The conception of the structure space which the complex gear trains units occupy is developed. The structure space is divided into movement structure space and supporting structure space. The calculation method of the basic unit structure space is given at the same time.Secondly, though the idea of the connection and combination between units the structure characteristics state model of the complex gear trains is studied, as is the combination form of the complex gear trains basic units. The layout forms are analyzed, which will have an influence on the structure space. In the combination of the complex gear trains basic units, the constraint models of combined basic units are established based on the components. The structure space of complex gear trains basic units is extended to the complex gear trains.Finally, the process of establishing the structure characteristics state model is summarized. With the example, the complex gear trains structure characteristics state modeling method is verifed, which proposes a theory model support. Preliminary the optimization mathematical model of the structure space is established.
