As an essential key equipment of the equipment manufacturing industry, automobile crane’s dynamic performances (accuracy, stability, reliability etc.) are important indexes for quality measuring. Currently, the majority of enterprises are still stuck in the experience analog stage in their product development process, making the existing researches confined to separate studies on individual modules of the crane. Research on the dynamic performances of the whole system has little successful attempts, resulting in a significant gap between the domestic products and the foreign advanced products in terms of stability, fretting, reliability and so on. Therefore, it has important theoretical value and practical engineering significance to carry out research on reliability of the dynamic performances of automobile crane system. The research object of this paper is the whole system of automobile crane. Firstly, based on the theory of multi body dynamics, the kinematics and dynamics equations of the main module of the crane are established. Secondly, with the application of the modular modeling technology, the function of each module unit is comprehensively considered. The parametric models of slewing, luffing and lifting systems of the crane are hence established. Finally, the multi-body coupling model of the whole crane system is established in ADAMS. Aiming at the typical operating conditions of the crane, the dynamic simulations are then carried out. Through AD AMS/PostProcessor, the dynamic characteristics of related mechanisms are obtained. By using Monte Carlo random parameter method, the influence on the motion reliability, which caused by crane mechanism errors, is simulated. Through the analysis and comparison of dynamic performance reliability with different pre-set parameters, the effect weights of different parameters for system reliability are ultimately obtained. The research method can be applied in guiding further products design. And it also has a certain reference value for solving the accuracy allocation problems of other types of crane.
