With the development of a new industrial revolution, the era of economization is coming and the industry competition of the world will be remodeled. Based on the financial crisis we learned that in order to realize the healthy and rapid sustainable development of economy we should make sure the real economy is strong. Manufacturing, which is the basis of economic development, owns an important position in the real economy, Due to the carrier of manufacturing industry, manufacturing system is particularly complex. As the market competition is so fierce, it is very important to assess and optimize the manufacturing system scientifically and effectively.By taking an engine assembly system of an Automobile co., LTD as the research object, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of engine assembly system, an engine assembly system structure of the multi-Agent system was established based on the Agent technology. In order to make the interaction of various Agents in the engine assembly system more clearer and provide support to the behavior of the engine assembly system, this paper cleared the interaction relationship between objects in the engine assembly system on the basis of classifing information of engine assembling production system. Based on the Petri Net theory and according to the complex characteristics of the engine assembly system, an Object-oriented Knowledge Petri Net modeling approach was proposed. From the attitude of system modeling and by adopting the idea of object oriented, abstract Engine Assembly System into several assembly units functionally connected, then established engine typical assembly unit as OKPN model by these basic units. On the basis of above steps, abstracting and encapsulating every assembly unit. Information transmission mechanism was established according to the technology connection and the OKPN model which also has the characteristics of good modular and reusable was built for engine assembly system. And based on that model the process of engine assembly system was expressed. Combined with the Flexsim simulation software as the simulation platform, a simulation model was set up. And then an optimization scheme was proposed according to the simulation out report, which improved the efficiency of the equipment and reduced the cost and shortened the delivery cycle.
