With the rapid development of China’s automobile industry in recent yea rs, the carthe increasingly fierce competition between enterprises, reduce product cost, improveproduct quality and shorten the period of development become the key to enterprisesurvival and long-term development of the automobile.Body size engineering technology is one of the core technology of enhancingindependent brand product quality, start from product research stage, continued tomarket of products, each stage through the management control size, size of goodengineering can improve the vehicle product quality, quality stability and reliability. Inthis paper, combining with the design process of Haima, the research of key technologyof vehicle dimensions in engineering, and the effective application in the Haima bodyquality improvement project. The main research work and achievement are as follows:(1) the history of car size engineering, comparison of current situation at home andabroad car size engineering technology, explore the developing direction of domesticindependent brand automobile and Haima the gap of the engineering technology and thefuture size of Engineering technology.(2) research size engineering technology goal setting and development process,according to the engineering technology of Haima body design, develop from theappearance quality target, positioning system design, calculation and decomposition,simulation analysis of tolerance design, drawing output and measurement of keytechnology for system design and construction of automobile dimension engineering.(3) according to the process and management defects of the Haima automobile bodysize of Engineering design. Puts forward a new process of project management.(4) combining with the current engineering technology situation of Haima, usingthe core technology of size engineering, discusses its application in automotive Haimabody design. Advanced method of tolerance allocation through the example analysis,the new technology of dimensional tolerances of simulation technology principle, betterprotection of the design quality of Haima, improve the manufacturing accuracy.The size of the successful engineering manufacturing process in the Haima car’sbody design, effectively improve the body precision and assembly precision, reducesthe manufacturing cost, solve the difficult problems of the assembly, lifting the vehiclequality.
