The twin barreled linked automatic mechanism is very famous in the world.With its lightweight,high firing rate,compact,easy to install,muzzle kinetic energy and the mass ratio oflarge and favored countries,particularly in China,Russia,the United States,South Africa hasbeen widely applied.This paper takes23mm external drive twin-barrel automatic mechanismas the research object,the automaton of each part movement are performed under the drivingof the motor.According to the characteristic of the configuration and movement connection ofdifferent pasts,writing the automaton cycle diagram.Use the slider crank mechanism andmechanical in the classic,the motor continuous rotary motion into reciprocatingmechanism.Focused on identifying the profile curve of the acceleration mechanism camgroove,and design of the system structure parameters of reducer gear in detail.Base on theclassical interior ballistics, a mathematics model of the interior ballistics is established,thenwe get the variation of pressure chamber by calculating program written by MATLABlanguage.The three-dimensional models of the machine gun is built in the CAD software UG, andsuccessfully imported to ADAMS software through the special interface.Through thedefinition of part attribute motion constraints workload and so on,the virtual sample of certaintype of new automatic weapon is established,the motion law of each movement of the partsare calculated using the simulation,the strength of key components are checked by finiteelement analysis,parameters of a key spring and the relations between the spring stiffness and the action of automatic rifle are analyzed.The use of sheave system and clutch system reasonably cooperate,successfully resolvedthe issues of the artillery not clear bore when to stop firing.,estimate the motor power of thesethree kinds of resistance from the removal of chain resistance,bomb chain motionresistance,pullout resistance.and calculates the total power required for the desired motor.The calculation results and simulation data in this study,it may be a good reference forfurther study and improvement for this kind of weapon prototype.
