By taking a light weight 155mm towed howitzer semi-automatic screw breechblock as the research object, comparative analysis at home and abroad of the screw breechblock structure characteristics, research and design screw breechblock on how to use the gun recoil energy to realize its semi-automation action. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1) General planning and structure design of the semi-automatic screw breechblock. According to the design requirements and space layout of the gun, screw breechblock type of the semi-automatic screw breechblock, direction of the switch, type of the unlock driving mechanism and scheme of the semi-automatic mechanism are preliminarily determined. In light of the general plan and corresponding structural design criterion, do structure design on the screw breechblock body,locking device, carrier, semi-automatic mechanism and obturator respectively.(2) Dynamic simulation analysis of the semi-automatic screw breechblock opening process. Based on the multi-body system dynamics theory and model simplification principle, establish the dynamic model of semi-automatic screw breechblock in ADAMS, make dynamics simulation calculation on vertical open and upper left tilted 60° open two schemes of breech opening process respectively, a comparative study of two schemes on open breech about the breech shaft resistance, contact force, kinematics characteristic parameters, adopt the vertical upward opening breech as the final plan.(3) Make reliability analysis on the driven system inside the carrier. Based on the Reliability Analysis for mechanical components of stress intensity interference theory and gear failure forms in the process of transmission, calculate the reliability of breech shaft sector gear, rack, screw breech sector gear about tooth surface contact fatigue strength and tooth root bending fatigue strength respectively. Verify the reliability of the carrier driven system through the eventual establishment and calculation of the carrier internal transmission system reliability evaluation model eventually.
