Study On The Location Of Commercial Bank Branches And The Mode Of Construction

In recent years, with the rapid economic development, the implementation of national monetary policy is tended to be more permissive. In the meantime, competition from commercial banks becomes fiercer, with a focus of commercial bank branch network construction. The amount of branches in a city reflects the overall strength of bank. Therefore domestic banks are eager to enlarge their branch network, however, many flaws regarding of location decisions and the mode of construction have showed accordingly. As a result, to improve layout of bank branches and standardize the construction of bank branches have turned into one of the most significant issues of major domestic commercial banks.In this dissertation, the first part centers on lessons and experience concluding from the comparison of location and construction between domestic and foreign commercial banks. In the second part, based on a detailed analysis of present problems in selecting locations and the tendency of bank network development, it provides available ideas, strategies and constructive methods of commercial bank network construction. On the other hand, the factory standard production will be introduced into the commercial bank branches network construction. The last part focuses on a case study of bank branch network construction in Tianjin. From this case, it displays the application of AHP in the location selection, and standardization of functional zones, building design and internal decoration.
