Research Of Compound Path Of Space

Since the very beginning of human’s construction, a close relationship had been shaped between space experience and human’s eye-movement path. How people experience space in dynamic vision and how to describe and define this dynamic experience in an objective and accurate way is an important task.The thesis aims to analyze architecture projects in different times and cultures under the view of compound path of space, dig out the logic similarity in a rational way and build up a system about compound path of space based on the theory of architecture space form system. The system establishes two types of the formation of compound path of space, one is structure of space which forms compound path of space through union and intersection of unities of space, the other one is turn of path which forms compound path of space through turns of path in two dimensions and three dimensions system. The permutation and combination of these two types creates complex architectural space sequence experience.The meaning of the thesis is to define and describe the phenomenon of compound path of space, chase the development of path of space which from single to compound, and reveal the important meaning of compound path of space in organizing space sequence.
