The Research Of Campus Outdoor Space Based On Space Preception

This dissertation studies the organization of campus outdoor space from a perspective of human perception of space.During the development of architectural theory, people are more concerned with constructed situation than entity(Architecture space) and the relationship between subject(human) and space. Meanwhile, the corresponding relationship of modernism between the form and function were broken, the objective aesthetic rules is also been challenging, architects prefer emphasizing the "process" of forming the sequence events which arised by a variety of human subjective experience and feelings in the space.From the philosophy aspects of phenomenology, behavioral psychology, etc., The logical relationship between the three factors of spatial perception, movement and events is dialectical. People(movement) is the contact form which arise the relationsip between the space and the event. According to movement, people interacting with the space, as a result, space projected into people’s emotion and perception; and the collision of difference subjective atmosphere in the space would provoked the possibility of an unknown event. When people’s subjective feelings and reactions become a part of the designer’s consideration factors, space then becomes the package container. Entity operation design process of the moment, situation, atmosphere or experience from the perspects of spatial perception, to which is difficult to record by the drawing,, is called creatind “event space”. On the basis of this theory, combined with characteristics and existing problems of modern campus exterior space design, Design based on human space perception and reaction is conductive to convey the space meaning to people, promote contacts between users, stimulate the vitality of the campus.According to the operation mode analysis and the trace of origin theories of Bernard Tschumi and Rem Koolhaas and La Villette park, the author sums up the application of the three elements of space perception in spacen design. That is three logical operation steps of design process: The perception of three elements(space, events, movement), undertake structure of the three elements——ideographic system(program system,path system, space system), and the corresponding entity forms. Make it as the basis of the perception design, the outer space is divided into three basic ideographic structures——program system, path system, non program space system and their combination relationship.Observed from different viewpoints according to the Gestalt psychology of figure ground relationship principle and perceive figure mechanism. Translate the experienced space perspective scene into perceptual schema, and try to put forward some factors which influence the perception of space: unit intensity of perception, spatial perception change rate and spatial hierarchy through analysis of X-ray surface space and entity ratio data. And the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the external space design of Yan’an Cadre College and the other two excellent universities which proved the rationality of these principles and methods. Finally, summarize the two systems sequences of path and procedure systems, and put forward the spatial shape design methods and principles which corresponding to perceptual mechanisms is help to build spatial perception when people move in the space, and stimulate the vitality space as well.
