ABSTRACT:Linear induction traction motor is a new type of power equipment. Due to its unique performance and characteristics, it not only has been widely used in modern industrial fields but has a good application prospect in urban rail transit. Linear induction traction motor is generally used as traction motor of maglev train; it can also be used to drive metro vehicle in urban rail transit system. Aiming at the linear induction traction motor in Guangzhou metro vehicle, this thesis carries out the performance analysis and simulation study.Firstly, the developing history of linear motor is reviewed; the current research situation at home and abroad is investigated; the principle and structure of single-sided linear induction motor is introduced. The characteristics of the linear induction traction motor are also described in detail.Then, the finite element software named ANSYS is used to analysis linear induction motor simulation model in two-dimensional transient field. From the results, the magnetic field lines and the longitudinal air-gap magnetic field curve can be observed. The distortion of longitudinal air-gap magnetic field reflects the effect of dynamic longitudinal end effect of the linear induction motor (LIM).In order to fully consider influence of the second transverse end effect and dynamic longitudinal end effect on the performance and the magnetic field distribution of linear motor, this thesis uses ANSYS to analysis LIM model in three-dimensional field. Under the condition of3D eddy current field and3D transient field, respectively, the air-gap magnetic field distribution of LIM, the eddy current distribution of secondary reaction plate, and the force of LIM can be observed. This thesis also discusses the structure changes of secondary reaction plate, and its impact on motor performance, thus illustrating the electromagnetic properties of LIM much more fully.The focus of this thesis is based on the linear induction motor metro vehicle in the curve, it studies the simulation about lateral displacement of the secondary plate in3D eddy current field. Compared with the electromagnetic force, air-gap magnetic field and eddy current distribution when the metro vehicle runs in straight line, it can be obtained that the changes of thrust and normal force, the value of lateral force when vehicle runs in the curve. Finally, the distortion of transverse air-gap magnetic field and the redistribution of secondary plate are studied after the secondary plate occurs an offset.
