| With the development of electronic information technology, the electromagneticpulse interference and protection issues are more and more prominent. They affect themodern production and life safety seriously. Vehicle is one of the most importantmeans of transportation, its sensitive systems or equipments are vulnerable to beinterfered in the nuclear explosion, lightning and other high intensity electromagneticenvironment. Particularly the engine electronic control system, it is control core ofthe whole vehicle. It will cause the loss of power permanently or temporarily when itis attacked by the electromagnetic pulse. Therefore, research on electromagnetic pulseeffect and strengthening technique of vehicle engine electronic control system is veryimportant for ensuring the mobility and security of vehicle. It is one of the keyresearch directions in the field of electromagnetic compatibility currently. The purpose is improving vehicles’ ability to resist the electromagnetic pulsedamage. Aiming at the critical coupling path of the vehicle engine control system, thispaper has calculated the coupling interference waveform parameters of the deviceport on the basis of simulation. Study on nuclear electromagnetic pulse effect andstrengthening technique of vehicle engine electronic control system. Verify thefeasibility and effectiveness of the scheme through simulation and test, and providereference for designing the strengthening scheme of vehicles. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Determine the coupling interference waveform parameters of the equipmentport in vehicle engine electronic control system based on simulation. Aiming at thecoupling path of the cables in vehicle engine control system, this paper simplifies thestructure of engine cabin and cables, and establishes the CST simulation model.Analyze the coupling interference waveform parameters and change regulation ofcables under different conditions, such as, different direction of cables, direction ofirradiation and terminal impedance. Aiming at the coupling path of cables in the ECUshell, simulate the characteristics of the field distribution inside the shell. Establishmodel of wires coupling in the high field intensity area and get coupling interferencewaveform parameters of wires. It is the key object which needs to be strengthened.(2) Analyze electromagnetic pulse effect from the perspective of signal interferenceand device damage. Take certain type of engine electronic control system as an example, analyzing the importance of system function and sensitivity of keyequipment. Analyze the signal interference and destruction of the electronic controlunit, load sensor, speed sensor, feedback sensors and actuators based on thecharacteristics of signal of equipment port and coupling interference waveformparameters. Discuss interference pulse influence on the function of vehicle engineelectronic control system and the reason of influence.(3) Propose three types of strengthening scheme for vehicle cables. Take the certaintype of Euro III engine cables as an example, implementing wave shielding schemeand verifying the effectiveness.
