In recent years, with the government’s strong support to the smart grid, hundreds of substation has been built in China each year. And the building in thesubstation is the power infrastructure to protect the security of power, at thesame time, the security problem of buildings which are located in substation isincreasingly outstanding during construction period and the late operation. Mostof substations have been built in remote areas where the geological conditionsand climate conditions can make the building deformation. So it will really havea serious influence on the safety of distribution grids if we can not do a right andtimely forecast and safety warning for the trend of building deformation. We can find that the artificial routine measurement of building deformationmonitoring is still the main method, based on the study of monitoring statusdomestically and internationally. The collection, record, analysis and storage ofmonitoring data is done by manual, which fail to achieve uninterruptedmonitoring and result in uninterrupted monitoring, low efficiency, and ensureaccuracy hardly to be guaranteed. Due to that the analysis and storage of datahas been done by manual, this method not only fail to achieve the real-time datasharing and early warning in time but also result in inconvenient reference ofdata at a later stage. Therefore, it is necessary to design a intelligent andautomated structure health status monitoring system. This paper analyzes the existing buildings health status monitoring systemboth at home and abroad, fully integrated with the effects of temperature, humidity, tilt on the building deformation, proposes a building health monitoring system based on the Grey Forecasting Model GM (1,1), designs a buildinghealth status monitoring system on the basis of GPS technology, sensortechnology, web technology and database technology to assess and warn thehealth status of the buildings, and then take appropriate protective measures toensure the safety of construction and operation of buildings. This paper studiesthe following aspects:(1)The article deeply analyses the current condition of the monitoringsystem of the domestic and foreign buildings’ health state, and states thesignificant meaning of the system for monitoring of today’s buildingsdeformation.(2)In the article, the author improves the GM(1,1) of the monitoring systemof the buildings deformation, comes up with the Grey Forecasting ModelGM(1,1) that matches the characters of the monitored items, and proofs theaccuracy of the prediction model by comparing the predicted results with thereal data.(3) The paper designed and completed the hardware circuit of themonitoring system, which comprising the processor peripheral circuit, the sensorcircuit, power regulator circuit, etc. And described the design of circuit and theparameters of the device.(4) The paper introduced the development environment of the systemsoftware, and completed the module software design and the agreement ofcommunication protocol.
