In recent years, the development of China’s high-speed railway is prospering. The operation of EMU has greatly improved passenger trains speed. With its comfortable traveling environment and faster travel speed and other advantages, EMU greatly facilitates people’s travel. This thesis based on the’ Development of Hybrid EMU’ which is supported by National Science and Technology12th Five-Year Plan project designs and implements a test platform based on Reciprocal power-fed type.Firstly, This thesis introduces the background and significance of the subject, and then introduces the constitute of the hybrid EMU and analyzes the technology used in the paper.Secondly, after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing AC transmission test platform, the thesis decides to use the platform based on reciprocal power-fed type. According to the traction system debugging programs, two DC power and25kV/50Hz power is designed. Traction power supply system is a single-phase load for electric power system, which can cause unbalance of the three-phase current when doing powerful experiment, so a reactive power compensation device is designed to solve the problem of imbalance. In order to control the output of high voltage power supply, low voltage power console is designed to improve the safety of the test operation.Then, the thesis introduces the entire test system components, including the measuring devices, control systems, network transmission and SCADA software. According to traction system test requirements, the thesis fulfills the reasonable selection of measuring sensors.Finally, the PC monitoring software is designed. The monitoring software based on Lab VIEW graphic language communicates with monitoring unit of the bottom through Ethernet. The monitoring software can achieve many functions such as the real-time display of system analog and digital, fault storage and the control of traction systems. It can also call on VC++prepared virtual oscilloscope, completing waveform display function.The design of test platform and monitor software are finished through lengthy efforts. The test platform can complete most routine tests and typical tests of hybrid EMU traction systems, and the monitoring software can realize every function of the test system.
