Nowadays, the development of power system is more and more rapidly, power network scale is becoming more and more big, also appeared a lot of power waste and loss phenomenon, thus to achieve the optimal operation economy of power system is also a crucial link. This article is an in-depth research on the classic method in power system optimization, in power system calculation, linear equations、node impedance matrix is also a important component of it, so this article is also involves in the research of linear equations solution、the research and comparative about the various solving node impedance matrix methods. This paper puts forward three kinds of new method of solving the node impedance matrix, then compare the principle and computation time of the three methods, also proposes a the new factor table method which is based on gauss- Jordan elimination method to PQ decomposition method of power system flow calculation, and compared with the traditional factor table method which is based on gauss elimination method. In Newton’s method, the formation and elimination of Jacobian matrix is essential link, Therefore, this article also made improvements on the formation way of the Jacobian matrix, Proposed a new forming a Jacobian matrix method,and joined the sparse matrix techniques, made the calculation time faster. In this paper, there is also an analysis of several basic algorithm flow calculation, such as Gauss-Seidel method and Newton method, Including its significance, principle, basic equations, etc, Also made a comparative study on Gauss-Seidel flow algorithm and two coordinate form of Newton algorithmic, summarizes their advantages and disadvantages, and select a solution from the method of incremental transmission losses for subsequent optimization calculation. At the same time will made detailed introduction to the principle and solving equations of several solving incremental transmission losses methods in power system optimization classic method, analysis the advantages and disadvantages of these methods, Introduce the base model、constraint conditions and calculation process of classical active power optimization method and classical reactive power optimization method. This article will use Newton method to solve power flow, then according to the calculating process of classic method, this paper will use the form of example to represent classical active power optimization completely, also will explore some ways to accelerate the solving speed of power system flow and optimization.
