The maintenance of power supply equipment is very important content in power system. Whether or not the reasonability of equipment maintenance scheduling is directly related to the benefit of power grid enterprise and users, what’s more, it makes a great influence on power system, and even social security and economy.In this paper, the optimization model of the current distribution maintenance scheduling is established by considering the characteristics of the distribution network and various factors affect the maintenance. This model uses the minimum load loss as function. In order to overcome the shortcoming of artificial fish swarm algorithm, this paper does some research and analysis to put forward two improved measures:(1) Crossover and mutation of the genetic algorithm in the artificial fish swarm algorithm is introduced, which realize individual jumping change in shoal, and accelerate the algorithm convergence speed.(2)The strong local search ability of particle swarm and global convergence of artificial fish is used to form a hybrid algorithm with complementary advantages. The algorithm and improved artificial fish swarm algorithm are firstly applied to optimize distribution maintenance scheduling in this paper.A case is used to verify the correctness and validity of the model and algorithm in this paper. It is also demonstrate that the improved artificial fish swarm algorithm is more suitable for optimize distribution maintenance scheduling.
