The traditional hydraulic valves not only incur the following problems such as the structural complexity, high precise machining, easy wear-out low reliability, high noise, slow response, but also easy to realize the mechanical and electrical integration of liquid, has been unable to the requirements of modern engineering applications. MR hydraulic valve has been designed based on the MR technology, which can solve the shortcomings of the traditional hydraulic valve, and can achieve the intelligent controlIn this paper, we have designed a pilot relief valve of magneto-rheological using the magnetic rheological mechanism of the MRF, which combine with have annular and cylindrical damping channel, and setting separated ring reasonably, in order to improve the damping force of valve. On this basis, we designed MRF pilot operated relief valve which the magneto-rheological control valve as a pilot stage pilot relief valve, which can effectively solve the problem of small valve magnetorheological hydraulic. This paper has summarized application prospect of magnetic rheologic fluid in the hydraulic system at home and abroad, introduced the composition of MRF, strain mechanism, work patterns, the performance factors, and proposed the key technologies problem of design process in the magnetorheological pilot operated relief, aiming at the key problem by choosing suitable material and rational design of magnetic circuit and structure design to solve the problem. By analysis software of Ansys, we have simulated and compared with MR valve of this paper and common MR valve. The simulation results show that, the MR valve of design can make full use of magnetic field generated by the exciting coil, and improve the damping force of MR fluid in the valve, and its efficiency is higher than common magnetorheological valve. Established the mathematical model of MR pilot operated relief valve, using the Matlab/Simulink software simulation analysed static and dynamic characteristic of the MR pilot operated relief valve, we can get that the MRF pilot relief valveā€™s Overshoot and flow characteristic can meet the design requirements, and it has fast response form the opening to the full closure,and verify the rationality of the structural design.
