Gas-liquid two-phase flow is widely appeared in field of industrial production. Heat transfer, mass transfer and other various characteristics of the flow are needed to be known in chemical industry, power, oil and other fields. The measurement of flow, separate phase flow, pressure and other parameters is of great significance for the control and safety of the production process. As the universality and accuracy of the parameter measurement methods and meters for gas-liquid two-phase flow at present, it is of great significance to develop new methods and meters. In the thesis, a new double-cone flowmeter is used to measure the gas-liquid two-phase flow. This thesis mainly research contents are as follows:(1) Three double-cone flowmeters with different equivalent diameter ratios of 0.697, 0.586, 0.424 are used to measure the gas-liquid two-phase flow. On the basis of investigation of average differential pressures on the double-cone flowmeter, the relationship between Lockhart-Martinelli constant and the quasi-ration of gas flowrate is analyzed, while the influence of flow pattern is considered. And then the flow model is developed on the basis of the split phase flow model. A series of experiment are carried out on the facility of air-water two-phase flow, the measurement errors of the flow model are analyzed.(2) On the basis of investigation of values of differential pressure signals and the gas volume fraction, the gas volume fraction model is established for the gas-liquid two-phase flow. During the process of modeling, the influence of the density and the flow pattern are considered. The measurement errors of the gas volume fraction model are analyzed through experiment.(3) Experimental studies are conducted on the gas/liquid two-phase flow experiment device. Combine the flow model and the gas volume fraction model, the total mass flowrate and the split phase flowrate and measured. The research results show that using the new-established models, the double-cone flowmeters have good measurement characteristic for the gas-liquid two-phase flow.
