| Xinjiang is located in the hinterland of the Eurasian continent and in mid-latitudes. Xinjiang comprehensive natural divisions in China belong to the temperate to warm temperate desert. Winter of Xinjiang is very longer and cold(about 150 days)and the minimum temperature is-51.5℃.Affected by the Atlantic warm moist air flows west wind and the arctic cold wet, xinjiang snow area of the total area is more than 80% and Approximately 45% of the region form the snow disaster. The Northern and high mountain area generally have 5-7 months of snow and the maximum snow thickness of is up to 162 cm. The mountains are usually snow depth of 50-100 cm, northern 40-100 cm and southern 10-50 cm. the distribution features of biggest snow and rainfall in Xinjiang is present decreases gradually from west to east and increases gradually from north to south.Identification of traffic signs in the snowdrift disaster area by two factors. One is a lot of snow grains adhesion on the layout, cover pages, and ultimately do not recognize.The second is the low visibility, shorter horizon, logo layout cannot see or invisible.Due to the cold and snow in winter, road snow disasters phenomenon occurrence frequency is higher. Every winter, the road traffic safety sign is low visibility when heavy snow and ice disaster, to caused great difficulties for the majority of drivers who drive safely, but also to bring greater road transportation safety risks.In order to Provides a reference of the design of highway safety facilities and protection to wind blowing snow area in the future, the situation of the traffic signs to be covered by snow disasters in Xinjiang was researched. Combining with the experience at home and abroad, and the research results of Xinjiang Traffic Science Research Institute for many years, the material of the existing traffic signs, layout design, and structure installation form were improve and perfect. To provide guarantee for safe passage, the suitable for the snow disaster area traffic signs were researched and developed.In this study, the performance and economy of aluminum alloy material and ferrite materials was compared and observation. The results show that the ferrite materials of traffic signage be more suitable and conducive to the smooth flow of traffic than aluminum alloy material in Xinjiang snow disaster areas and region. The traffic signs of improvement and perfection provide guarantee for safe passage in Xinjiang snow disaster areas. |
