Single-phase distribution technology is a kind of low loss, strong stability, high reliability of power supply technology, the nation has been actively developing the research on single-phase power supply system in power distribution network. But the industry hasn’t detailed standards and norms on single-phase distribution technology to support the overall promotion of the system. Therefore, at present the comprehensive application in China has not been achieved. This research introduces the concept of single phase power supply system, the connection mode, the advantages and disadvantages of the system, and makes clear the scope of application of single-phase power distribution system. According to the actual situation of China’s power distribution system, this study forms a kind of practical power supply mode, and analyzes the selection of the mode of each power supply equipment, and improves the system of fault classification to enhance the reliability of single distribution. Combined with our own city characteristics, this study completed the design of single-phase distribution system of Xinzhou residents living area, and compared the power loss of three-phase distribution system with the single-phase distribution system, provided reference for the application of single-phase power distribution system.
