Intelligent use of electricity include some new business such as energy efficiency monitoring and analysis, Demand Response, DER management and intelligence appliances management, which need interaction of user and smart grid, communication capability of energy management system and devices of user, and need a strong communication network at user side. In this paper, by analyzing demands of interactive business of resident users and combining existing communication technology, communication network plan and unify network management plan of resident user are designed.In this paper, by analyzing communication demand of intelligent use of electric business, after researching functions of energy efficiency metering service, demand response service and DER service and communication behavior of participants, communication processes of service participants are summarized to propose a user network structure and functions which meet the demand of intelligent use of electric business. By analyzing the service information priority and the confidentiality, integrity, reliability of links between participants, the network link performance index is proposed. Then, by analyzing the wired and wireless technologies, fiber, PLC, twisted pair, ZigBee, Bluetooth and WiFi technology are selected as network technologies of resident grid user groups. For a certain bandwidth allocated to device and effectively avoiding conflict, TDMA and improved CDMS/CA are used in PLC; and channel consultation and dynamic allocation mechanism are used between wireless technology.Based on the above work, user network solution is designed, including energy efficiency metering network for data acquisition and energy efficiency analysis; demand response management network for monitoring and control of electrical equipment; distributed energy management network for energy supply and storage on demand. Meanwhile, to ensure the orderly equipment control, priority access control and business collaboration solutions are proposed, in order to achieve optimal business.Finally, network management solution is designed to realize the communication equipment and electrical equipment unified management. By using improved network management framework and setting up service agent, device management to different intelligent electrical business is realized. Meanwhile, using location-based tree structure to define of electrical equipment address of residential users, the basic communication process and business QoS guarantee process are designed, and providing users with a simple log system. The network management solutions by extension function, improved the residential electricity equipment management system.Through research, the existing residential customers monitoring and management system functions have been extended to make the network more suitable for development needs of smart grid user side, with guidance for building the future smart grid user domain.
