That’s where concept of the distribution automation system come from. Distribution automation is a actual time system for scientific administration of distribution grid. The basic things are network and equipment. The advanced modern computer communication network technology help to realize the detection and control of power distribution system.This paper will carry out the system of planning and construction projects in the pilot region which combined with the actual situation of Zhengzhou company and the China State Grid Corp requirements. This paper will analyse domestic and international distribution automation technology, existing automatic conditions of pilot project and existing problems.It will be based on system standard to design the system structure, composition mode, terminal, distribution communication, master station. The saftey of data transmission must be considered. This paper will find the effective solution for saftey problem.This project has been used for daily work.
