The location of wind power farm belongs to the first step of wind power farm construction. The result of this task can affect the economic and environmental benefits of wind farms in later period. The main objective of the wind power generation is reducing pollution of the environment and improving the economic and social benefits of related businesses instead of fossil energy and other non-renewable resources. If the location of the wind farm farm is reasonable, it will not only save the cost of construction and post-operational aspects such as equipment transportation costs, but also can promote economic development in the region where the wind farm sites such as promote local employment and so on. Therefore, it is of great significance of the location of wind power farm in a scientific and rational way.In order to make the evaluation result more rational and scientific, this paper applies fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model in the location of wind power farm. This method aims at the location of wind power farm and establishes evaluation index system. Firstly, the article introduces the research background and significance of the location of wind power farm, as well as research status of the location of wind power farm, and the main research method. Secondly, the article introduces some theories of the location of wind power farm, such as the concept of the location of wind power farm, the principles of the location of wind power farm, factors which should be considered in the location of wind power farm, matters to which should be paid attention, evaluation methods of the location of wind power farm such as expert evaluation method and principal component analysis method. Thirdly, this paper builds a site index system of the location of wind power farm, including particularities and limitations of wind power, principles of indicator selection, the establishment of evaluation index system, the meaning of evaluation index. And on the basis of these, this paper develops evaluation criteria of indicators which includes geographical factor evaluation criteria, technical factor evaluation criteria, economic factor evaluation criteria and environmental factor evaluation criteria and so on. Fourth, this paper constructs model of the location of wind power farm, such as brief introduction and steps of AHP, the steps and basic contents of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Fifth, this paper carries out comprehensive evaluation for the location of wind power farm, including AHP to determine the weight of each index which includes the determination of one-level index weight and two-level index weight, analysis of each index which includes analysis of geographical factor, analysis of technical factor, analysis of economic factor and analysis of environmental factor. Finally, the article describes the expert scoring table for each indicator and it carries out fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for the location of wind power farm.
