Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics(CFRP)as a new structural reinforcement technology has been more and more widely used in the field of reinforcement.In recent years, research on carbon fiber reinforced composite materials in the steel structure reinforcement was carried out at home and abroad, calculation formulas were obtained by experimental data and theoretical analysis.Due to the limitation of various factors, the current study is generally not considering the influence of reinforced structure initial stress. The influence of bond slip between steel girder and CFRP plate was ignored in stiffness calculation formulas. The bearing capacity formula formswere also more complex.Therefore, this article is aiming at the deficiency existing research, the experimental study and finite element analysis software were using to discuss the reinforcement of the secondary stress question of the structure preliminary, it provides a theoretical basis for the engineering application.A large number of research results of scholars both at home and abroad were comparied and summaried.The association of civil engineers (ICE) composite girder stiffness calculation formula and the British association of construction industry research and intelligence (CIRIA) theoretical basis of formula of bearing capacity of composite beam are determined as the theoretical basis.In this paper, ANSYS software is used to establish "three-dimensional entity-spring-shell element" finite element calculation model and to simulate the steel beams reinforcement in CFRP plate,comparison with considering the effects of secondary stress and CFRP plate reinforcing steel bending strength test results was conducted, quantitative analysis on the various mechanical properties was also made, the reliability of the finite element analysis method was verified.According to the results of the experiment and simulation, the influence of secondary stress of reinforced structure was concluded;the revised formula for calculating the ultimate bearing capacity was verified; stiffness calculation formula were put forward on the ICE was revised.This subject is supported by national standard design code for strengthening steel structure and the research findings of this paper will provide theoretical and experimental bases for writing this standard.
