Stories Adding technology emerges in the background of building land increasingly tense,difficult to reuse old buildings and high reconstruction costs.It has the advantage of short construction period and lower costs.at the same time,it’s fully utilize the existing buildings and not occupied land resources. Stories Adding technology can solve the conflicts between population growth and building land tensions under limited circumstances.It’s the effective weapon of building resource-saving society.Based on previous studies,This article contains the following work:First of all,detailed discription of the concept of damping ratio.comparing the differences between the modal damping ratio, equivalent damping ratio and damping ratio of experience in the calculation.Comparing the effects of overall structural performance between different layer stiffness and the number of layers added on the top. The influence of each parameter on the stories adding structure’s economy will be described.Secondly,doing modal analysis and the calculation of modal response spectrum method with an actully stories adding project.Evaluating the modal of overall structure which is added layers.Calculating the response spectra of stories adding structure based on the modal damping ratio and calculating the structural response under different response spectrum.Tertiary,introduces the concept of buckling energy support.Contrast the stories adding structure modal’s difference between each support setting schemes.Analyze each program with nonlinear time history analysis under rare earthquake. Comparing the displacement and story shears under the different seismic waves.Comparing the development of plastic hinges at different times and evaluate the results.Finally,compare the six different reinforcement schemes,analyze the contribution of buckling energy support to the structural performance which setted in the structure.Compare the pros and cons of different schemes,and then discuss how to set up the buckling energy support to get a higher price in reinforcement project.
