In recent years, shipping economy develop rapidly, the electronic chart system is more and more important, the traditional Marine electronic chart system based on C/S mode in sailing ship security plays an important role. With the rapid development of information technology and Internet communications, electronic chart system based on B/S mode is cognized by people gradually, because the available user group is single to the original electronic chart system, the configuration of equipment is not convenient, can’t meet the needs of more and more customers. Handheld mobile devices in people’s life, become a habit, it also makes all kinds of system based on mobile devices, the application got fast development, electronic chart application become a trend, portable, mobile, and so on hand-held mobile terminal to the development of electronic chart system has realistic meaning.In this paper, by using B/S mode, and further study of the mobile electronic chart tile cutting way, storage rules, system architecture, server and client to build, and finally completed a set of mobile electronic chart system on Android mobile.The things need to do about this article is:1) According to the characteristics of the Android system, analyzing its various advantages, and design display solutions suitable for the Android mobile devices through these advantage technology.2) By programming chart tile cutting way, after cutting the chart source file, and through the SQLite database for storaging and layering, to complete the chart display.3) Select the appropriate system architecture, complete implementations on the server side and client, and need to develop navigation on the chart, namely through the access of AIS data on the chart, complete ship overlay display on the electronic chart.4) After the superposition, read the ship data on the chart, realize the ship navigation monitoring.This paper is to solve chart display and the display of the ship based on the Android mobile phone, can realize the ship navigation on hand-held mobile terminal, and provides a new basis and design ideas for the electronic chart on the mobile platform development.
