Block molding machine change waste material into things of value. Itbelongs to environmental protection equipment. Hydraulic block moldingmachine has a lot of advantages, but it wastes power and energy. Environmentalprotection equipment also confronts the problem of environmental protection—saving energy and reducing consumption.Block molding machine hydraulic system has a lot of energy-saving ways.Ordinary motor driven limited pressure variable pump as power source is asuccessful way. It greatly improved the die forming circuit and achieved thegoal of energy saving. But, hydraulic system will produce unnecessary energywaste, reduce system energy utilization rate, bring down the efficiency at othersteps. Moreover, compared with quantitative pump, limited pressure variablepump is more complex, expensive and polluted. System maintenance is notconvenient. This is not good for performance of the "energy conservation andemission reduction" social responsibility, but also hinders the enterprise toreduce operating costs and improve efficiency and realize the sustainabledevelopment of practical needs. This paper uses mechanical and electricalcomposite energy-saving manner. The method of quantitative pump withfrequency conversion motor can change the frequency of the frequencyconversion motor in different steps, changing the quantitative pump output flow.It can meet the speed requirements of different working steps.In order to achieve better energy-saving in block molding machinehydraulic system. Firstly, this paper analyses the operation condition and thework environment of block molding machine hydraulic system. And the paper also analyses the causes of the hydraulic system to produce energy loss and thefactors affecting the efficiency of the system. On the basis of a large number ofenergy-saving hydraulic system literature, this paper summarizes valuable wayenergy-saving hydraulic system at home and abroad. Frequency conversionmotor becomes more and more popular. Frequency conversion motor’price isnot different from ordinary motor, thus quantitative pump driven by frequencyconversion motor reduces costing. Combination with the practical condition ofblock molding machine hydraulic system, frequency conversion motor drivenquantitative pump as power source improves block molding machine hydraulicsystem. Under the premise of operation convenience, it puts forward the newway of sorting for multiple actuators in the system. Storage hopper closes andPlate cylinder fast forwards simultaneously. Frequency conversion motor drivenquantitative pump shortens the molding cycle0.56s. It is able to produce morestandard hollow block about96pieces per hour than former one. By theoreticalanalysis, pressure and flow of supply is matched with requirement of load. Itsaves energy about14%and increases system efficiency by5%.At last, this paper uses the AMESim simulation software to improve thesystem modeling. Simulation result shows that ordinary motor driven variablepump circuit power curve compared with frequency conversion motor drivenquantitative pump circuit power curve in a cycle, which does not produce excesspressure and flow. Energy saving effect is more significant. According to thegeneral motor driven variable pump and frequency conversion motor drivenquantitative pump corresponding overflow valve flow curve, the frequencyconversion motor driven pump has not overflow loss and improves theutilization of energy.
