The traction and control system of CRH5 is one of the core technology of the high speed EMU, and traction transformer is the important part of the transmission part traction, is an important part of the chain of high voltage transmission circuit and is the guarantee for the power source and operation safety of high speed EMU。It plays a decisive role, that the traction and control system works on EMU safety.Firstly,we expound the high voltage power supply system and control system structure and function, analysis the traction transformer monitoring component and the protection schemes.Then, the logic relationship of the transformer fault is analyzed with the form of logic diagram.Finally, we introduce how locate the fault site and treatment of transformer fault removal quickly and accurately through monitoring variables.To the maintenance department person, it has some help for understanding the traction transformer structure principle.EMU with maintenance department personnel understand the traction transformer structure principle, function characteristics, especially on-site inspection and maintenance of traction transformer fault removal provide favorable for rapid search method and the diagnosis to improve traction transformer fault removal treatment has certain help function. In particular, it provides a means for field inspection of the failure of a traction transformer for removal of traction.And it has some help for improving the diagnosis.
