In order to suit the requirements of social development pace, making our driving more comfortable as well as higher speed, the conventional continuous-beam bridge is transforming towards the bridges that have more spans and longer distance between each of them. Nowadays continuous multi-span beam bridge has become one of the common types of large and medium bridges over rivers, cities, freeway and railway.The history of continuous multi-span beam bridges is not long, and researches have been done towards its monitoring can be less. The study has important significance on making bridges in this type known, confirming and optimizing the design methods and assumption in calculation, perfecting the processes of the health monitoring, enrich the calculative theory, exploring the technology. Basing on the significance of the research, this article is conceived on the construction and designation background of the south approach of Jiubao bridge, the main contents are as follow:1.Read the relevant literature, understand the development of multi-span continuous girder bridge and the development of health monitoring system, focus on the exploration of the establishment of health monitoring system for the multi-span continuous girder bridge, in view of the real bridge and combining with the force,structural features and the data of construction monitoring.2.On the background of the south approach of Jiubao bridge, use finite element analysis software-Midas civil to build the space model of bridge, simulate the process of the construction, analysis and calculate the stress and deformation of each construction stage and the operational phase of the bridge.3.Based on the requirements of health monitoring system at the stage of operation, to analyze the main factors which affect the operation period of multi-span continuous girder bridge: displacement, stress and temperature. Meanwhile, contact the main parameters of the key section of the construction monitoring of the south approach of Jiubao bridge, layout the measuring points reasonably with the combine of the two, analyze and research the state of the stage of bridge operation.4.Discusses the principle, thoughts, steps of APH, and analyze the characteristics,by dividing the evaluation level, on the base of health monitoring system of Jiubao bridge, establish the evaluation model to assess the state of the bridge model using AHP analysis of variable weight.5.According to the characteristics of multi-span continuous girder bridge,analyze the factors that affect the safety of bridge traffic, give the evaluation process and method of traffic safety, in order to study more operation management approaches which are suitable for multi-span continuous girder bridge.
