Large frame part is one of the critical parts composed of the aircraft main structure. It plays a key role in the aircraft development process because of its complex structure, difficult manufacturing process and large quantity. Large frame part made of titanium alloy has the characteristic of powerful cutting, hot machining, little modulus of elasticity and irregularly initial residual stress. The aircraft product precision has been affected due to some technology difficulties such as numerical control machining deformation, difficult cutting, poor surface quality have been not solved. How to achieve the high efficiency, stability and lean large titanium alloy frame part development process is a difficulty of the aircraft development project. This article discuss the large titanium alloy frame part NC machining on process design, install and clamp, tool test, computer program, cutting technology on the background of poor stability, low efficiency, poor quality and difficulty in lot manufacturing on the large titanium alloy frame part NC machining.This article presents a method which is a optimized design and standard titanium alloy frame part, sets up its process flow, be ready for achieving some materials standardization and specialty such as frock, cutting, tool and equipment in view of the characteristic of difficult process flow, different machining flow, too much resource occupied, inefficient machining process.This article achieves tool wear curve and enhance the fine machining efficiency of large TC18 titanium alloy interface frame through the study of titanium alloy’s structure and materical characteristic, single factor cutting test, testing analysis milling force and tool wear, optimizing tool geometric parameter, testing analysis fine machining tool wear and milling surface quality.This article studies this kind of parts cutting skill in order to fit standardization of titanium alloy frame parts process. This article combines the cutting test and forms standardization parts cutting program which fit high speed manufacturing. And this program will establish the standard for future large aircraft titanium alloy frame parts.This article initially realizes efficiency, stable, specialized process flow thought the study of titanium alloy frame parts design, tool test, cutting skill and program. This article also proves the availability of this skill thought a lot of production tests and makes the technology foundation for large aircraft titanium alloy frame parts in the future.
