Degign And Application Of Heterogeneous Smart Home Gateway

As the technology of the things of Internet become more and more mature, the life with smart home, which can bring people a comfortable and efficient life is getting more and more attention. The heterogeneous gateway is the core and hub of the smart home.It is charge for communication between the external and internal networks. Meanwhile, it convert protocols and data formats for the different networks. The gate plays an important role in the household network communications.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the demand of the gateway and compares the communication ways of gateway.At the same time,this thesis develops a full-function system which includes the Android application and the remote relay server. Instead of serial communications,the STM32 board is used for the internal communications.Secondly,the thesis explain the overall architecture based on the function of the gateway and set up a software development environment for embedded Linux 2.6.21.x kernel porting.Then write a program for the inter-comuniction between serial communications and Wi-Fi.The system information can be saved in flash and can be configured by AT communication protocol.The Android client has the functions of login,control the switches,query,set alarm,etc.The remote server is setted up for the forward of data frame in order to let user control the device at anywhere.The serial communication of STM32 mainly includes communication data buffer, the gateway configuration settings and monitor the working status of the gatewa, such as Wi-Fi connection status.After the basic functions of the system development is completed,the advanced technology such as IP automatic identification, network auto-switching is bringing up for supporting practical application.And for conmon users, the thesis designed an one-click function to allowing the gateway connect to the router.Finally,the thesis tests the gateway for the futures of communication,delay and transparent transmission performance.The results show that the gateway has achieve the expect design goals, the module is stable and easy to use.
