Because electrical communication nodes in power system have features, such as quantity, widely scattered distribution, geographical environment and the low data transmission rate, which cannot meet the increasingly rich demand of electric business needs, communication system has become a bottleneck, which restricts the development of smart grid. In order to improve the power distribution network communication network environment, the paper improves the distribution communication network performance in communication structure based on WMN, electric business modeling based on analytic hierarchy process and mixed business cross layer resource allocation.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the existing power distribution communication network and the WMN status and then presents a matched electrical communication structure based on MESH network combined with the existing topology of power communication network. The presented structure can adopts appropriate access mode according to the network structure and specific business needs, which can satisfy the demand of the electric power business greatly and reduces the power distribution network construction cost. Then, because of differences demand between the power distribution network business, this paper analyzes the distribution business in the flow, reliability and real-time, and calculate a global weights combined with analytic hierarchy process. Then according to the weight to sort the different businesses and allocate the resource accordingly. The result shows it can meet the requirements of different service transmission which can improve the real-time, reliability and security of power business and reduce network congestion and packet loss rate. Finally, because the communication channel is complex and has many features, such as multipath, fading, time varying and frequency selective, this paper realizes the cross layer information exchange by considering the upper business dynamic characteristics and the physical layer and proposes a resource allocation algorithm for real-time service guarantees stability and non real time traffic fairness, in which the core is a scheduling strategy considering business stability based on arrival model and physical layer deciding the send data packets. According to the scheduling strategy, real time services have high priority to be transferred. Then the non real time services are transferred if there are surplus system resources. The physical layer adopts the equal power allocation strategy to distribute the best channel to the service, which can achieve the purpose of maximizing the system rate. The simulation and analysis result in the typical power line channel environment show that this paper algorithm with little change in the total system throughput can improve not only the traffic jitter rate of real-time service and, but the fairness of non real time, which is very suitable for power line communication system.
