Circulating water pump is an important composition for the power plant, so raise its working efficiency has great significance to the economical efficiency improvement of the whole unit.72LKXA-23 circulating water Pump is Produced by ChangSha Pump plant of 600MW units. The pump can not meet the demand of full load in hot weather because of low flow and efficiency at YuanBaoShan power plant.The requirement of the pump loads isdifferent indifferentseasons. Therefor the pump is less economical.The economic optimizing study of circulating pump has been done by the thermodynamic basis of the experimental data. Firstly, analyzing the problem of circulating pump flow low, transforming working part of circulating water Pump, and changing the motor of high capacity pump into dual speed with polarity-changed box. The flow of pump increased 2100-5000m3/h and the economical efficiency was raised after modification. In this article, the energy saving effect of five kinds of operation mode under different temperature calculation has been studied and the best operation mode has been discussed after transformation. The flexibility and economy of the circulating water operation is increased. Electricity consumption of circulating water pump is reduced 4,600,000KWh.The investment can be returned in a year.
